2017 SQUIRRELS DOCK PROJECT

I never got a chance to post about our recent dock project, so I’d like to take this opportunity to show you all what your generous contributions throughout the year are used for. All money that we raise at our fundraisers goes back into the community to help others in one way or another, and a large majority of it is used on projects such as this one. We recently built an accessible dock for TREE House of Greater Saint Louis (formerly known as Therapeutic Horsemanship). If you don’t know about that organization, please check them out at thstl.org to find out more about them, they are a great organization. This dock is specifically designed to be safe for wheelchairs and is designed with small gaps in the rails to allow a person to fish from a wheelchair. Between design, design approvals, coordination with our board and their board, fundraising, etc., this project was about a year and a half in the making and is something that our club is very proud of! This dock will be enjoyed far more than we will ever know by those who will be using it! Please enjoy these pictures and know that this is the kind of thing that your contributions are used for!
